Larita Nicolson (Tian) founded JC in 2018 with a mission to help Australian’s learn Chinese with ease. Larita’s deep experience in language coaching makes her a highly sort-after tutor.

We offer private tutoring for anyone learning Mandarin between HSK Levels 1 and 3 (beginner to intermediate level).
Levels 4 to 5 requires advanced Coaching to assist you in self-study.
We also offer Business Coaching for specific industries which can involve translating material.

‘Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi’ translates to The Chinese Proficiency Test. This is the standardised test for proficiency in Mandarin.
You can take a HSK test at most universities, and your HSK level will be recognised globally.

We recommend engaging a tutor from ages 8+.

Most students book 1 or 1.5 hours a week of tutoring. Lesson times are limited and subject to availability. Most of our students learn online via Zoom.
We also offer in-person tutoring at your home if you live in the Inner South Brisbane area. (e.g Yeronga. Greenslopes, West End, Camp Hill, Mount Gravatt). Travel fees may apply.

Book in a Free Call with Larita. In this phone or zoom session, Larita discover your learning goals and style. Then you can schedule your first tutoring lesson if you choose to proceed.

You’ll be sent digital invoices per lesson or fortnightly (depending on your arrangement), to securely pay via EFT. We also accept debit/credit cards processed securely via Stripe for a 0.5% surcharge.
