Meet Your Tutor
Larita Nicolson (Tian Jin) founded Journey Chinese in 2018 to help Australian’s learn Chinese with ease.
Larita’s deep experience in language and practical teaching methods is why she’s a highly sort-after tutor and regarded expert in Chinese culture.
Growing up in Kunming, Yunnan China, she now lives in Brisbane, Queensland with her husband Lachlan, their daughter Olivia and dog Frasier.

Every week Larita will host a 1-hour online hangout, and you’re invited! You can register here to join the group.
These events are a great time to connect with other Online School Students from around Australia.
Larita will present/teach a a short topic on Chinese history, culture or language, then the rest of the hour will be for connection time, Q&A and language practice. Most content will suitable for beginner learners.
