IN THIS LESSON
Learning colours in Chinese is one of the most fun and lively parts of early language learning. Colours are everywhere in daily life — from describing clothes, food, weather, emotions, and even moods.
In Mandarin, colour words often link to other important learning areas like:
Describing Objects (e.g. 红色的花 hóngsè de huā – a red flower)
Talking about Preferences (e.g. 我喜欢蓝色 wǒ xǐhuān lánsè – I like blue)
Cultural Meanings (e.g. 红色 hóngsè symbolises happiness in China)
Learning Adjectives and Grammar (e.g. adding 的 de to describe nouns)
